What it does

Every document with a date on it in one place — trade licenses, general liability and workers comp certificates, vehicle registration, tool calibration. Warns you at 60, 30 and 7 days, and again the day one lapses. Different coverages expire on different dates, which is exactly what a spreadsheet gets wrong.

Exactly what happens

These are the behaviors the build is tested against before it goes live.

When a renewal is the configured number of days from expiry one notice is sent, once per threshold

When a renewal passes its expiry date a lapsed notice is sent if escalation is on

When a renewal is given a new expiry date the sent-notice history resets so the next cycle warns again
